Charming campsite at Lac Rose
Located between Lac Rose and the Grande Côte beach (Dakar, Saint Louis), the guesthouse welcomes you year-round. Perched on a sand dune, in the shade of coconut palms, with birdsong and the ocean lulling you to sleep, you can truly experience the spirit of this magical place. Contrasting colors of the azure sky, the pink lake, the lush vegetation, and the sand dunes. A place where gardens flourish among the dunes.
We have strived to preserve nature by integrating ourselves into it, by blending into this little corner of paradise. Equipped with a hybrid system for lighting, hot water, and air conditioning, we do everything possible to reduce the impact of our presence on this environment.
To connect, wifi is available from 7pm to 9pm in the common areas of the campsite.
Whether you choose the Dunes or Bamboo and Bougainvillea bungalows, all our bungalows are equipped with a private bathroom, mosquito nets over the beds, electricity, and solar hot water. The Bamboo and Bougainvillea bungalows also feature air conditioning and a power outlet for your phones or cameras.
For your relaxation, an infinity pool and a bar are available to our residents. To explore the surrounding area, we offer wonderful horseback riding or mountain biking excursions.

Located on the north shore of Lake Retba between the ocean of the "Grande Côte" and the lake. Near the Fulani village of Bonaba.
From Dakar (47 minutes), take the A1 motorway, exit towards Rufisque, Niaga, Lac Rose. After the village of Niaga, follow this road to the craft village on the lake shore. Continue straight ahead (2km laterite track) to the Gite du Lac.

PETIT FUTÉ Senegal - The Esprit d'Afrique group comprises two properties: Gîte du Lac (at Lac Rose), and Camp du Désert (in Lompoul). Gîte du Lac is located on the north shore, between the sea and the Fulani village of Bonaba. This guesthouse is a jewel of simplicity nestled in nature, surrounded by the green of banana trees, the mauve of bougainvillea, the golden dune against which it is built, the pink of the lake, and the blue of the ocean. From the guesthouse's panoramic terrace, there is a magnificent view of the lake. Accommodation is in charming "simple" or "Esprit d'Afrique" bungalows, each with a private bathroom and solar-powered hot water. Wickerwork, pottery, dyed fabrics, mats, and wrought iron make up the decor, adding to the serenity of the spacious and comfortable bungalows. Hurricane lamps light the bungalows in the evening, while solar power powers the common areas. The hotel also offers activities. The highlight is horseback riding. But you'll also have the opportunity to go hiking, camel riding, or take a 4x4 tour of the sand dunes, or even make your own goat cheese. Alternatively, try floating like a cork in the lake... quite unusual!
