Ocean barbecue at Lac Rose
A day at the beach .
By reservation only at Gite du Lac and for groups of more than 20 adults, come and join us to enjoy a day "in nature", on the immense deserted beach of Grande Côte, 900 meters from Lac Rose.
In a wild environment, we have imagined for you, CÔTÉ PLAGE, an ephemeral restaurant nestled between dunes and dunes, for a grilled lunch served on beautiful tableclothed tables (special menu every Sunday), offering a panoramic view of the ocean.
Enjoy a safe swim in the ocean, relax on sunbeds, use the provided towels, fresh water for rinsing, and restrooms. Beach games, sand toys for children, balls, and a volleyball court are available. Horses are available for rides in the dunes and on the beach (reservations required). Other Esprit d'Afrique activities are also available; see our "Leisure" tab.
Go directly to the beach or to the parking lot of Gite du Lac / Chevaux du Lac for the round trip transfer by 4X4 through the dunes (included in the price).

Located on the north shore of Lake Retba between the ocean of the "Grande Côte" and the lake. Near the Fulani village of Bonaba.
From Dakar (47 minutes), take the A1 motorway, exit towards Rufisque, Niaga, and Lac Rose. After the village of Niaga, follow this road to the craft village on the lake shore. Continue straight ahead (2 km on a laterite track) to the Bonaba Café parking lot, where a 4x4 vehicle will take you across the dunes to Côté Plage.
