Restored in 2007-2010 in collaboration with an architect specializing in heritage preservation, this former gum arabic warehouse belonging to the Devès family, mulatto merchants of Bordeaux origin, is listed among the buildings of great architectural interest in the inventory carried out for the UNESCO World Heritage classification.

Esperanto Lodge is located in Kafountine, Casamance, in southern Senegal. We welcome you to our estate, spanning several hectares, in a unique natural setting: nestled within a palm forest surrounding a lagoon where 160 bird species have been recorded to date, and simultaneously bordering the Atlantic Ocean and a virtually deserted beach stretching for 5 km.

Perfectly integrated into its surroundings on one of the most beautiful dunes, facing the ocean, lies a true oasis in the heart of nature. The Akine Dyioni Eco-Lodge village hotel was designed by Anne in 2012 with the skill of Casamance artisans, prioritizing the use of local materials. Each bungalow offers a unique style for your stay. Solar panels provide the energy. Ideal for a relaxing nature getaway. Akine Dyioni Lodge offers a garden with a terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge.
