Kayak trip in the bolons.

Aboard our RTM Ocean Duo kayaks, equipped with dry bags, comfortable seats, and paddles, and for you, life jackets and kayak booties, we will take you to discover the remarkable ecosystem of the Sine Saloum's bolons (tidal creeks). Experience the tranquility of the deserted islets planted with sacred baobabs and inhabited by hyenas (whose tracks we will discover), mongooses, jackals, green monkeys, goliath herons, long-tailed choughs, ospreys, cormorants, kingfishers, and many other wildlife. Navigating the meandering bolons, you will discover this still pristine natural environment. The excursion is accompanied by our kayak guide, who will also share insights into the culture of the Serer Niominka people, who have inhabited these lands for generations. Stopping on pristine beaches for impromptu swims, walking on sandbanks at low tide, we offer you a true moment of communion with nature.

All our walks are accompanied by an eco-guide.

Bambougar El Hadj Women's Group Project

As part of our commitment to sustainable tourism, we support, in collaboration with the Nebeday association, an agroforestry project as well as a project for the production of artisanal soap.

We organize immersion days to share a traditional meal with a family, visit the vegetable garden or participate in soap making. (Wednesdays only).

We begin the day by dugout canoe, heading to the local market in Sokone to buy the ingredients needed to prepare the traditional dish (Thieb bou Yap, mafé, etc., depending on what's available). We return to the village by horse-drawn cart. Some participate in a cooking class, while others join in making artisanal soap using jatropha oil and shea butter. We share our meal on a mat spread on the ground, served on communal trays. The day ends with three cups of tea. Soap bars are available for purchase at 300 CFA francs each.

Prices : Base 2p. : 36,000F/p. ; base 3p. : 30,000F/p. ; base 4: 23,000F/p.

20% included in this price is donated to the women's group and their project

of agro-market gardening.
